A committee consisting of Francine Block, Joan Cavanagh, Angela Felver, and Kathy Quinn have chosen this year’s recipient of our Branch scholarship to the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders.

Lisa Werstler is a 25-year-old education major at Bucks County Community College.  She is planning to transfer to Holy Family University in the Fall of 2020. She is currently the president of the Future Teacher’s Organization at Bucks. The club has raised money to help the Autism Care Foundation with a painting party and members volunteered at Race for Resources, a 5k run for ACF.  She is looking forward to working with ACF this semester and plans to participate in Cops ‘n’ Kids in the spring.  Outside of school she also works a lot with children.

She believes that “this [NCCWSL] conference can help me understand who I could be to support and help others, as well as myself.”
